Permits are required for Zoning Changes, Lot Splits and Combinations, Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Peddling, Rummage Sales, and Brush Disposal. All permit applications are available at City Hall. The following permits are available online to download and/or print:

A building permit is NOT needed when:
 
a.
replacing siding
 
 
b.
new window replacements when not changing size to wider than existing or not needing new headers
 
 
c.
if only one layer of roofing shingles and stripping not required
 
 
d.
dry walling or paneling, painting interior/exterior, replacing doors of same size
 
 
Building permits are NEEDED when:
 
a.
any/all structural headers & beams (doors, windows, etc.)
 
 
b.
cutting away of any wall, partition or portion thereof
 
 
c.
removal or cutting away of any structural beam or load bearing support or removal or change of any egress or rearrangement of any parts of a structure affecting the egress requirements
 
 
d.
any/all additions, alterations, roof stripping, demolitions or moving of structure, change of occupancy, usage
 
 
e.
any/all structural building of any kind, including decks, pools, fences, etc.
 
 
f.
building permit applications also require a zoning form to be filled out and turned in
