Our not-for-profit ambulance company has served Van Buren County since 1987. Owned and operated by Bronson Healthcare, we are part of the continuum of care that Bronson Lakeview, Bronson Methodist and Bronson South Haven Hospitals bring to the communities they serve. 911 Emergency Medical Coverage
VBEMS ambulance is open 24/7 covering 911 calls for our contracted townships. Our crews have years of experience and access to state-of-the-art equipment to bring the highest quality care available in the region. VBEMS has been nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services for our commitment to quality care and continued efforts to increase regional standards in EMS care.
Critical Care Transport Services
VBEMS offers EMS transport services 24/7 regionally for our community members, along with hospital-admitted patients. Our paramedics hold Critical Care certifications and have the training to ensure that your transport from hospital to hospital is without incident. VBEMS also offers ambulance transports for those that are bed-bound or unable to sit in a wheelchair to their scheduled appointments. See our contact page to schedule your transport!
Transportation Plus Services (Wheelchair Service)
Van Buren EMS Transportation Plus can help you get to where you need to go. We offer non-emergency transportation from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to medical appointments, dentist appointments, and other destinations. Anyone who has difficulty with mobility may use Transportation Plus. It is available to any resident in southwest Michigan. All our vans are wheelchair-equipped. Call (269) 657-2996 to check availability.
Education and Training
VBEMS offers AHA courses for first responders and community members along with continuing and initial education for EMS providers.
